Yvonne M. "Vonnie" Martin, Little Chute, age 82, died Friday, December 20, 2024 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.  She was born in Combined Locks on November 25, 1942 to the late Henry and Ellen (Mitchler) Verhoeven.  In 1960, Vonnie married Stan Martin at St. Therese Church in Appleton and together, they had two great sons.  She worked and a few restaurants and hotels in the area, and worked at Weenie's for 15 years and Walmart for 10 years.  Vonnie enjoyed playing bingo and trips to the casino.  She and Stan traveled to the eastern and western states with friends and family, and especially enjoyed their trips to Mississippi and Las Vegas.  Above all, Vonnie loved a good car ride with her husband, and time spent with her family.

Vonnie is survived by her husband of 64 years, Stan; sons:  Jeff (Judy) Martin of Gresham and Keith (Linda) Martin of Kaukauna; grandchildren:  Amanda (Jason) Ruesch, Amber (Eric) George, and Alex (Saige) Martin; great grandchildren:  Caleb George, Jackson Ruesch, Dylan George, and one on the way; great granddogs:  Addy, Ozzy, Beau and Nala; grandcats: Snow ball and Cupcake; sisters:  Marge Vosters and Ann (Jim) Albrecht; brothers-in-law:  Tom Dercks and Tom (Ethel) Martin; and Godchildren:  Ginger Vandenberg, Kay Martin, Joe Albrecht, and Kathy Hanson.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Vonnie was preceded in death by her siblings:  Ken (Judy) Verhoeven, Jean (Truman) Schmidt and Muggie Dercks; mother-in-law: Lillian Martin; brothers-in-law:  Jim Pomeroy, Joe Vosters, Jim Martin and Bob Kramer; and sister-in-law: Betty (Ken) Martin.

Visitation will be held January 6, 2025 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.  Her funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Deacon David Van Eperen officiating.  Committal St. John Cemetery.
