Yvonne Mary Arft, age 92, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, in Kimberly. Yvonne was born October 6, 1931, daughter of the late Henry and Alice (Van Caster) Yunk. She graduated from Appleton West in 1949 and went on to marry the love of her life, Edward "Jack" Arft, on December 4, 1951. Together, Yvonne and Edward were blessed to have five children, four sons and one daughter. They shared 56 years of marriage until he passed away in 2007.

Vonnie, as she was called, loved her family dearly. She loved to sew and make clothes for herself and her children, as well as baking for her family. In the late 50s and 60s, Yvonne had her own bowling team. She was an avid reader, and even when traveling, Vonnie always had a book with her. Her last place of work was in a nursing home taking care of the elderly; she truly loved it.

Yvonne is survived by her children: Bradley (Penny) Arft, of Appleton; Patrich Arft, of De Pere; and Jacqueline (Steve) Holland, of Littleton, Colorado; her grandchildren: R.J. (Michelle) Arft, Scott (Samantha) Arft, Ethan Shaw and Andrew Shaw; and her great grandchildren: Abby, Will, Derek, Jack, McKenzie, and Cole. She is further survived by her brother, Henry (Beverly) Yunk; her sister, Cheryl Eggert; her Godchildren: Gary Koslorek and Thomas Yunk; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her sons: Michael, and Randy Arft; her great granddaughter, Addison Arft; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Arft; her brother-in-law, Steve Eggert; and her Goddaughter and niece, Yvette Eggert.

Visitation for Yvonne will be held on March 11, 2024, at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Nate Gauerke officiating. Committal Highland Memorial Park. To sign the guestbook, please visit oconnellfh.com.
