William J. "Bill" Marvin, Kimberly, age 82, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born in Ripon on June 27, 1933 to the late Elmer and Alice (Maynard) Marvin. Bill married MaryAnn De Bruin on January 19, 1957 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. He proudly served in the Army where he received accolades for his exceptional marksmanship, and was a member of the William Verhagen American Legion Post 60 in Kimberly. Bill enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and bird-watching. He loved his dogs, Sadie and Missy.
Bill is survived by his wife, MaryAnn; daughters: Geralyn "Geri" (Larry) Harkness, Carol Appleton and Laurie Reoyo; grandchildren: Jenny (Dave) Vanden Heuvel, Nick Harkness, Josh (Becky) De Bruin, Thomas Appleton and Jacob Appleton, Frank (Abby) Reoyo and Nicholas Reoyo; great grandson, Gael; step brother: Charles (Shirley) Smith; and sister and brother-in-law: Joanne Verbeten and Le Roy (Cecelia) De Bruin. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jerry Verbeten.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute). The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Bill will be buried at St. John Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted.
