William "Bill" Wocelka, age 82, of Menasha, passed away on November 26, 2012, surrounded by his family. Bill was born on November 3, 1930 in Medford, Wisconsin, the son of the late William and Cecelia (Metz) Wocelka. He graduated from Medford High School in 1949 and later served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Keppler. While serving in the Navy, Bill often attended Yankee baseball games in New York and became a lifelong Yankees fan. Bill was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
On February 15, 1958, he married Corinne Kaump in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and together they had two children, Wendy Elizabeth and William James. Later in life, on October 9, 1987, he married Therese VanKessel, and together they shared a happy life, spending many winters in Arizona, until her death in 2011.
He is survived by two children, Wendy (Tom) Jung, Neenah, and William Wocelka, Appleton; one step daughter, Sandy Vandenberg (special friend, Dennis Beauchamp), Escanaba, Michigan; two grandchildren: Jessie Nelson and Christopher Nelson, White Bear Lake, MN; one step grandchild, Billie Ann (Dewayne) Sturgeon, Appleton, and their children, Austin and Christopher.
