Van Offeren
March 10, 1942 – September 19, 2019
William J. Van Offeren, Kimberly, age 77, died at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, September 19th, 2019. He was born in Appleton on March 10th, 1942 to the late William and Mary (Heesakker) Van Offeren. William married Zella Stansbury on March 1st, 1973 in Wisconsin Rapids. He was a graduate of UW Oshkosh and worked in healthcare administration until his retirement. William enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and golfing.
William is survived by his wife of 46 years, Zella; children: Gretchen (Jamie) Johnson, Seymour; William (Corinna) Van Offeren, Appleton; Michael (Evangeline) Van Offeren, Rockton, IL; Elizabeth (Craig) Le Blanc, Kimberly; stepchildren: Anthony Spielman , Adams; and Timothy Spielman, Kretz, Germany; grandchildren: Savannah, Ethan, and Ava Tomaszewski, Mason Johnson, Gavin Krause, Sascha Torres, Jillian and Michael Van Offeren, Issaac and Jocelynn Le Blanc, Rebecca Lancaster, Anthony Spielman, Dennis and Joshua Spielman; siblings: Anne (Steve) Staudenmeyer, Mary (Joseph) Mayerl, Joseph (Janet) Van Offeren, and Gretchen (John) Lausman; brothers and sisters-in-law: Donna Van Offeren, Dennis (Cathy) Stansbury, and Emilie (Peter) Wiese; and aunt, Margaret (Heesakker) Schwaller. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his brother, John Van Offeren; father and mother-in-law: Nathan and Ella Stansbury; brother-in-law, Lee Stansbury and sister-in-law Ann Stansbury; sisters-in-law: Linda Van Offeren and Barbara Haggerty Van Offeren; and his faithful friend and companion, his dog Fufi.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH -- ST. MARY CHURCH (119 W. 7th Street, Kaukauna) beginning at 3:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 4:00 p.m. The Rev. Donald Everts will officiate. A memorial is being established.
