Wendy Jean (Ahlers) Wheeler passed away unexpectedly at age 64 in the early hours of Monday, August 5th after a brief battle with leukemia. She was surrounded by her family in her final hours. Wendy was born in Berlin, WI and raised in Redgranite, WI. She lived most of her adult life in Appleton, WI. Wendy was a true embodiment of her Christian faith, welcoming and loving all who entered her life. While she could be quiet, she had a witty sense of humor that she shared with many people. She worked with her husband Jim and other family members in the family business, Wheeler's Tax Service, for nearly 40 years, with many of her clients becoming friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Dorothy (Perkins) Ahlers and her brother Herb Ahlers.

She is survived by her husband James "Jim" Wheeler; her kids, Jeremy (Rebecca) Wheeler, Crystal (Jereme Griesel) Wheeler, Alison (Wanda Craig) Wheeler, and Serena Wheeler; and her grandkids, Destiny Ashworth, Dakota Caskey, Keegan Griesel, A. Tiernan Griesel, and Brigid Griesel; and grandpup Ari. She is also survived by her 3 sisters, Jennifer (Paul Behnke) Ahlers, Amy Ahlers, and Heather (John) Wilson; her sister-in-law Gayle Ahlers; and their families, as well as many other loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at IMMANUEL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST (510 Sullivan Ave, Kaukauna, WI) on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11am. Visitation will be held at the church starting at 9am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution to your favorite church or charity, and/or do something in Wendy's honor to help make the world a more loving and welcoming place.
