Obituary

Wayne Joseph Kilsdonk, Little Chute, age 83, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, October 30, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 9, 1934 in Kimberly to the late Richard and Isabelle (Roemer) Kilsdonk. Wayne graduated from Kimberly High School as a multi-sport athlete. Wayne served our country as a medic in the U.S. Army. On June 4, 1960, he married Dorothy Jarosz at St. Edward Parish in Racine. Wayne worked at the Kimberly Mill for 48 years until his retirement in 2000.   He was very involved in the Kimberly Recreation Association, where he served as a Director and President and was well-known for his announcing of games at Sunset Park. In his younger years, Wayne enjoyed bowling, baseball, basketball and softball. He was an avid Green Bay Packers, Cubs and Brewers fan. His family was his greatest joy and he loved attending the sporting events of his children and grandchildren.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy; children: Ken Kilsdonk of Darboy; Debra (James) Smith of Little Chute; Vicki (Vance) Wilson of Elkton, MN; Janet (David) Merk of Fox Point; Amy (Chris) Hietpas of Little Chute; Kim (Brian) Smarzinski of Darboy; and Kathy (Joel) Dutton of Kenosha; and grandchildren: Joseph Kilsdonk; Lee and Lynsey Wilson; John and Jack Merk; Clare, Charlie, Nate and Hilary Hietpas; Jenna, Morgan, Mitchel and Jordan Smarzinski; Reese, Riley and Rory Dutton. He is further survived by his brother, James (Marlene) Kilsdonk; nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, John and Agnes Jarosz.

Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. His Funeral Mass will follow at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Military rites will immediately follow. Committal St. John Cemetery.
