"VO" Verl Ollie Parker, of Darboy, age 89, died from natural causes at home, surrounded in the loving arms of his family on Sunday, May 7th, 2017. He was born in 1928 in Sherwood to Ollie and Margaret (Hauser) Parker. In 1948 he enlisted in the Navy and served his country until 1952. Four years later, on November 21, 1956 he married the love of his life, Marianne Huiting. They had an amazing life together with a loving family and treasured friendships.

Verl will be very sadly missed by his wife, Marianne (Huiting); children, Brian (Judy)Parker, Jan (Gary) Londre',  Mark Parker and Sharon (Donnie) Hooyman; special grandchildren, Mark (Hallie) Londre', Michael (Nikki) Londre', Brooke (Kevin) Brault, Luke Hooyman and Nanette (John) Gerrits; great grandbabies: Garrett and Grace Londre', Amelia Jane Brault and soon to be Baby Londre' (Mike and Nikki); and step grandchildren: Hunter and Spencer Gerrits. He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Germaine Schumacher; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; siblings: Jack (Helen) Parker, Ethel (Ray) Kruse and Ruby (Wally) Grimmer; and step grandson: Ryan Hooyman.

Verl was an avid golfer and snow skier and loved to dance.  Verl was a welder for Kimberly Clark in Neenah for 34 years then continued to drive for the Avis Co. which he enjoyed very much.

A wonderful man that will be greatly missed by many. A celebration of Verl's life will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) from 5:00 p.m. until the time of Military Rites, conducted by the Kaukauna V.F.W. Post 3319, at 7:00 p.m.
