Timothy G. (Tim) Brown, age 59, of Appleton, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 after a brief non-COVID illness.   Tim was born in Appleton on April 23 ^rd , 1962 to Carl D. and Rita A. Brown. He attended St. Therese School, Roosevelt Junior High School and Appleton West.  He continued his education at Fox Valley Technical College and graduated with an associate degree in electro mechanical technology.

Tim worked with several area employers throughout his career, retiring from Sunoco Products Company in 2015. Since then, Tim has pursued his hobbies and used his varied talents to assist his family and friends with numerous projects and repairs over the years.

Tim had many interests including experimenting with anything electronic or mechanical, enjoying vintage automobiles and especially working on his prized 1963 Chevrolet Corvair.  Tim also took up vegetable gardening in retirement. He took great pride in the quality, quantity and variety he produced from a small garden plot and would share its bounty with anyone who would appreciate it. He also became more creative and inventive in the kitchen when he had time to do so.

Perhaps his happiest times were spent fishing with his brother Bob on a warm summer day.

Tim sometimes displayed a gruff exterior, but in reality was a kind, sensitive man who was always ready to help where he could.  Despite his many personal interests, he remained devoted to his mother's care and was exceptionally attentive in her later years.

Tim is survived by his sister, Carla (Candace Roth); and brothers, Steve (Karin) and Bob (Linda) Brown.  He is further survived by several nieces and nephews: Jennifer Helms, Bill Timmer, Betsy Brown Tseng, Nicole Brown Voltz, Andy Brown, Spencer Brown, Kyle Brown, and Miranda Dums.  Preceding him in death were his parents Carl (1971) and Rita (2021) and his brother Joseph W Brown (2007).

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at ST. BERNADETTE PARISH (2331 E. Lourdes Dr. Appleton) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Dorner officiating.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.  A recording of the Mass will be available here.

Special thanks from Tim's family to the overworked staff of Appleton Medical Center for the heroic care given to Tim in his final days.  The providers were exceptional, especially considering the current conditions.
