Thomas J. Vandenberg, Combined Locks, age 80, died Thursday July 30, 2015 at his home. He was born in Combined Locks on March 7, 1935 to the late Joseph and Gertrude Vandenberg. Thomas married Phyllis Wyngaard on September 19, 1956 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. Thomas retired from Thrivent (AAL) where he worked as a building manager. Prior to that, he worked as an electrician at Kimberly Clark. Thomas was an avid golfer and enjoyed woodworking. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family at the cottage.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis; four children: Jeff (Jackie) of Little Chute; Dan (Pam), Boulder, CO; Mary (Dennis) Vandenbergen, Kaukauna; and Tim (Amy), West De Pere; grandchildren: Collette, Brian, Tony and Ethan Vandenberg and Rachel (Justin) Hanks; and great grandchildren: Devon Vandenberg and Aubree Wolfinger. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his daughter Jean Vandenberg.

Visitation will be held Saturday August 1, 2015 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Andrew Kysely will officiate.
