Obituary

Thomas A. Tennessen, Kaukauna, age 69, died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, November 10, 2017. He was born in Kaukauna on December 9, 1947 to the late Arthur and Eileen (Kobussen) Tennessen. Tom was a driven man. He worked at Haen Meat Packing through his high school years. After graduation, he started drywalling and plastering, first with his father-in-law at Promer Drywall and Plastering and then on his own at Tennessen Drywall and Plastering. He purchased Orv's Pizza in 1987 and operated it until 1999. During his working years, Tom also ran a charter fishing business on Lake Michigan. Many fish were caught while out on his boat, Plumpy.

Tom loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He hunted locally and took many trips to Canada and out West. Tom enjoyed his Saturday morning coffee with his good friend Pete and conversations with Mavis. He cherished his family and was a man of great faith.

Tom is survived by his wife, Gloria (LeBrun-Robertson) Tennessen; son: Scott (Kim) of Kimberly; grandchildren: Ty, Tia and Trey; Gloria's children: Lisa (Paul) Konshak of De Pere; Joseph (Niki) Robertson of Pearland, TX; and Sara (Andy) Springer of Chicago; Gloria's grandchildren: Samantha (fiance Wil Rowe), Connor, Cal and Trey Konshak, Brett, Reese and Brooklyn Robertson, Grace and Noah Springer; Scott's mother, Marlene (Promer) Tennessen; siblings: Cheryl (Bob) Smith, Mike (Ellen) Tennessen, Faye Beach, Tony (Brenda) Tennessen and Jill (Roger) Manders; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Ray (Mary) LeBrun, Sr. Doris Jean LeBrun, Dorothy (Jim) Euclide, Eunice Pozza, Marilyn (Larry) Gillis, Don (Jan LeBrun), Mary (Jerry) Gandt, Roger (Diana) LeBrun, JoAnn (Steve) Madson and Samantha Keenan. He is further survived by his Uncle Bob; close friend Mary; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Bob and Ethel Promer; brothers, Bill and Jack (infant) Tennessen; Gloria's daughter, Carla Robertson; and brothers and sister-in-law: Frank Beach, Joseph Pozza, Ann LeBrun and James Keenan.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH – ST. MARY CHURCH (119 W. 7 th Street, Kaukauna) beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen will officiate with Deacon Steve Vande Hey assisting. Committal St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established for Polycystic Kidney Research.

Tom's family would like to send a special thank you to the health professionals that helped him through the years, especially Dr. Marie Weber and Seymour Chiropractic.

Tom will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He touched the life of everyone he met .
