Steven D. Moore, age 74, of Appleton, died Saturday, January 15, 2022, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center. He was born to the late Douglas and Jean (Wyrobeck) Moore, in Watertown, WI, on May 10, 1947.  Steven was an Air Force veteran and served from 1966-1970.  He married Mitzi Faris on July 29, 1972, at Sacred Heart Church in Fond du Lac.   Steve and Mitzi moved to Stevens Point where he worked for Sentry Insurance and Milwaukee Guardian Insurance before taking a position with the Stevens Point School Distict.  After 19 years, they moved back to the Fox Valley to be closer to family and Steven worked for the Appleton School District as a teaching assistant until his retirement.

Steven is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mitzi; his children: Casey Moore, Ripon; and Tricia Moore, Appleton; his grandson, Elwood Moore; and his step-granddaughter, Kyleigh Collins-Krueger. He is further survived by his siblings: Dennis (Mary) Moore; Karla (Paul) Boehlein; Scott (Kay) Moore; and Brian (Mickey) Moore; his siblings-in-law, Suzanne Kain and Vicki Faris; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Tom Faris, Jon Faris, and Carroll "Sugar" Kain.

Visitation will be held February 1 ^st , 2022, at ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH (312 S. State Street, Appleton) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. William Swichtenberg officiating. Following Mass, military rites will be conducted.
