Stanley L. Welhouse passed away on March 21, 2022, finally able to rejoin the love of his life, Jeanne. He was born on August 26, 1932 in Neenah, Wisconsin to the late Levi and Ruby (Rosenthal) Welhouse.
Stan attended St. John's grade school and high school in Little Chute, graduating in 1950. Stan joined the US Air Force in 1952 and was stationed most of his time in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1956.
Stan met Jeanne Sachs of Seymour and they were married in 1957. He worked at the Kimberly Clark mill from 1957, many years as a rewinder, until his retirement from Repap in 1995.
Stan was a regular churchgoer at St. John's in Little Chute, where he opened the doors and ushered frequently.
He was a member of American Legion Post 258. He was a Sergeant-at-Arms and served as the acting bugler for many funerals.
Stan and Jeanne loved to travel and took several bus tours. They also enjoyed many summers at their trailer at Chute Pond. Stan was an avid gardener and rooted for the San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Cardinals. His most favorite activity over the years was sitting on the sidelines or in the auditorium at his grandchildren's sporting events and concerts.

He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Linda Tocarchick and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and wife Jeanne, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry; Jeanne's parents Ervin, Sr. and Bernice (Lemke) Sachs; brothers-in-law: Ervin Sachs, Jr and Blackie Tocarchick.
Visitation will be at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank Stan's many caregivers at The Landings, Kaukauna and Generations Home Care and Hospice. Special thanks to resident and friend, Steve, who helped make Stan's days brighter.
