Stanley D. Martin, Little Chute, age 87, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Peabody Manor. He was born in Appleton on July 30, 1938. Stanley served in the U.S. Army in 1956 and was stationed in France. He married Yvonne “Vonnie” Verhoeven in September of 1960. Stanley retired from Thilmany Pulp and Paper in 1999 after over 40 years of service.

Together, Stanley and Vonnie enjoyed playing bingo, going on trips, and taking car rides. They traveled to the east and the west, and everything in between.

Stanley is survived by his sons: Jeff (Judy) Martin of Gresham and Keith (Linda) Martin of Kaukauna; grandchildren: Amanda (Jason) Ruesh, Amber (Mikah) Moede, and Alex (Saige) Martin; great grandchildren: Caleb George, Jackson Ruesch, Dylan George, Sawyer Lynn Martin, Austin Moede, Braiden Moede, and Ariana Moede; niece, Carol (Steve) Otto; great granddogs: Addy, Ozzy, Beau, and Nala; grandcats: Snowball and Cupcake; and sisters-in-law, Ethel Martin and Ann (Jim) Albrecht. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Vonnie; mother, Lillian Martin; brothers: Tom Martin, Jim Martin, and Ken (Betty) Martin; Vonnie’s parents, Henry and Ellen Verhoeven; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Marge (Joe) Vosters, Muggie (Tom) Dercks, Ken (Judy) Verhoeven, and Jean (Jim Pomeroy, Truman Schmidt) Schmidt.

A private service was held. Committal St. John Cemetery, Little Chute.
