Shirley M. Schuh, Appleton, age 82, died Tuesday October 6, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born in Little Chute on August 13, 1933 to the late Henry and Martha (Lamers) Weyenberg. Shirley married Theodore Schuh on November 27, 1952 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Shirley and Ted were lucky to have gone on many trips together. She also loved golfing, playing Bridge and trips to the casino. Shirley enjoyed socializing with her friends while mall walking at the Fox River Mall and will be missed at her family's weekly Sunday breakfast together.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ted; daughters: Julie Schuh of Appleton and Jennifer Hausher of Kaukauna; grandchildren: Elizabeth and Emily Hausher and Ian Schuh; sisters: Nancy (Jim) Ourada and Lynn (Ron) Verhagen; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Joe Kronzer, Rita Tessen, Cecelia (Joe) Smet, Jim (Judy) Schuh and Gerry Smith. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sister Carole Kronzer; father and mother-in-law: Fred and Catherine Schuh; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Virgina (Joe) Martin, Leland Tessen, Richard (Betty) Schuh, Dolores Smith and Harold (Pat) Schuh.
Visitation will be held Thursday October 8, 2015 at ST. THOMAS MORE PARISH (1810 N. McDonald St. Appleton) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 12:00 noon. The Rev. Gerald Falk will officiate. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
Shirley's family would like to thank the 7th floor staff at Appleton Medical Center for the care and compassion given to her. Also, thank you to the rehab staff at Peabody Manor for the excellent care she received throughout the years.
