Sharon L. "Sherri" Wichman, age 74, died unexpectedly at her cottage in Door County, on May 23, 2023. She was born in Oshkosh on April 5, 1949, to the late Leo and Isabelle (Schroeder) Voss. Sherri was an outgoing, giving soul. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an amazing Mom and Grandma, doing various things with her grandkids. She played a big role in their lives. Sherri enjoyed spending time visiting her brothers in California in recent years. Sherri will be remembered as a great cook; she loved to be in the kitchen and cooked for everyone. She had a special love for Door County, spending much time at her cottage. She appreciated the many friends she met in her time there. Sherri had a great sense of humor and was loved by all who knew her. She could truly light up a room with her presence and will be deeply missed by many.
Sherri is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Jim) McAloon and Erin (Greg) Riesenweber; son-in-law Marty Hamm; grandchildren: Ava, Oliver, and Henry McAloon, and Courtney and Caycee Riesenweber; Dick's children: Kathy (Mark) Van Nuland, and Ann (Paul) Enterline; and grandchildren: Amanda, Johnny, Abby, Ben, and Ally. Sherri is further survived by her brothers: Bob Voss, Don Voss, Wayne Voss, and Teri (Robin) Voss; her former husband and father of her children, Carl (Lisa) Londowski; the cousins, Nancy and Judy; and her dear friends, Julie, Mary, and Sid; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Sherri is preceded in death by her husband of over 20 years, Richard "Dick" Wichman; her daughter, Amy Hamm; brother Lenny Voss; sister Kim Voss; and her step mother Marge Voss.
Visitation for Sherri will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) beginning at 3:00 p.m. until time of Funeral at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
