Sharon Lee Johnson, age 57, of Kaukauna, died Tuesday, July 20, 2021. She was born in Appleton, to Robert LaPlant and Dorothy (LaPlant) Mitchell on September 28, 1963. She married the love of her life, Kevin Johnson, on June 30, 1984, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kaukauna. Sharon spent 20 years working at Quinney School as a lunch lady. She was very crafty, enjoying scrapbooking, knitting, stamping, and sewing—her recent project sewing and donating over 6,000 masks during the COVID pandemic.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 37 years, Kevin; her children: Christopher (Emily) Johnson, Machesney Park, Illinois; and Christina (Michael) Young, Freedom; granddaughter Siena Young, and was looking forward to the arrival of a second granddaughter. Sharon is further survived by her mother, Dot Mitchell; brothers: David (Carrie) LaPlant, Jim (Barb) LaPlant, John (Lisa) LaPlant, and Mike (Tammy) Mitchell; sisters: Linda (Dan) Luneau, Susan (Keith) Thon, and Michelle Mitchell; mother-in-law, Barb Johnson; and brothers-in-law: Scott Johnson, Brian Johnson, and Craig (Jane) Johnson.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Robert LaPlant; stepfather, Leo Mitchell; and father-in-law, Ron Johnson.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 23, 2021, at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) from 4:00 p.m. until time of Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH – ST.
