Wickesberg
February 14, 1935 – July 7, 2023
Sandra J. Wickesberg, Kaukauna, age 88, died at her home on Friday, July 7, 2023. She was born on February 14, 1935 to the late Arthur and Bernice (O'Brien) Borg. She married Gerald Wickesberg on May 5, 1956 at Bethany Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2005. Sandra was a member of TOPS and the Red Hat Society and volunteered at the Community Blood Center. She enjoyed playing cards at the Thompson Center and with her Girls Card Club. Sandra also liked going to parades and live local concerts, playing games on line, going to church, and traveling. She loved a nice meal with family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren. Sandra could be found at Landreman's Family Restaurant every Sunday.
Sandra is survived by her children: David (Shari) Wickesberg, Menasha; Michele Johnston, Menasha; Brenda (Dan) Besteman, Madison; and Mark (Linda) Wickesberg, Menasha; grandchildren: Jennifer Johnston, JoAnna Johnston, Launce Wickesberg, Matthew (Cori) Wickesberg, Scott Besteman, Sarah Besteman, Jonah Wickesberg, and Ashton Wickesberg; great granddaughter, Kady Lynn Aubin; sisters-in-law: Joan, Mary Ellen, and Judy Borg; and beloved, longtime companion, Jim Bendon. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gerald, Sandra was preceded in death by Gerald's parents and step mother: Launce and Viola Wickesberg and Kaythrn Wickesberg; siblings: Eugene Borg, Maribeth (Gary) Roehrborn, Arthur Borg, Jr., Dennis Borg, and Michael Borg; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Janice (Bob) Waltman, Joyce (Jerry) Huhn, Bruce (Shirley) Wickesberg, and Don (Marnna) Wickesberg.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH (124 W. 10th Street, Kaukauna) from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Rod Krueger officiating. Committal Highland Memorial Park.
Special thanks to her doctors, caregivers, and hospice for the loving care they gave Sandra.
The family would also like to express their sincere appreciation for all those who kept mom in their hearts and prayers through this journey.
