Obituary

Ruth A. Locy, Little Chute, age 84, died Thursday February 14, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 10, 1928 in Appleton to the late George and Rose (Hietpas) Driessen. Ruth married David Locy on October 19, 1948 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church where she was a lifelong member. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2003. Ruth volunteered at church, most recently preparing bulletins. She loved to attend the sporting and school events of her grandchildren and playing Rummy with them. Ruth and her circle of friends enjoyed lunches and occasional trips to the casino together.

Ruth is survived by her children: Dennis (Alice), Pardeeville; Keith (Donna), Little Chute; Mike (Anne), Appleton; Mary (Keith) Hanges, Appleton; Lee Ann (Jeff), West Haven, Utah; and Dan (Teri), Little Chute; grandchildren: Heidi (John) Bulgrin, Susan (Steve) Campbell, Sarah (John) Patton, Catie (Andrew) Lutsey, Christopher (Wendy) and Kyle (Keely) Semrow, Kelly (Jason) Shulz, Emily Hanges, Maggie and Becky Nelson, Jake (Kayla), Allison (Matt), Hannah, Peter (Kristin), Jason "Dave" (Melissa), Claire and Scott (Liz) Locy, Jordan and Amanda; great grandchildren: Cameron, Carter, Drake, Luke, Baylee, Dylan and Henry; sister: Carol Skinkis; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne (Pat), Jim (Betty), Jerry (Mary Ellen) and Tom (Deb) Locy, Alice (Bob) Weyers, Theresa Driessen, Mary Gloudemans and Harold Bissing. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband David; father and mother-in-law Henry and Geraldine Locy; brothers and sister: Jim (Mona), Leo (Marlene), Dick and Gene (Dolores) Driessen and Belle (Jule) Pritzl; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Donald (Florence) and John (Yvonne "Evy") Locy, Roger Gloudemans and Dorothy Bissing.

Visitation will be held Monday February 18, 2013 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery. A memorial is being established.
