Obituary

Monday evening, March 30th, 2026, Ruth Ann Gorski went to sleep and left her earthly body.

Ruth Ann, age 88, was born January 2, 1938, in Appleton, Wisconsin, the daughter of George and Marcella (Jackels) Mielke. She married Clarence Gorski on October 20, 1956, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood, Wisconsin.

Ruth Ann was a devoted, faithful, loving wife and mother. Her family was her pride and joy. Ruth Ann enjoyed many Amtrak trips to Pennsylvania, California, Arizona and Washington, as well as countless car trips to Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Sturgeon Bay and Lodi to visit her children and grandchildren.

Ruth Ann was devoted to God and her Catholic faith. A quote by St. Francis of Assisi was recently used to describe our mother, and we couldn't have said it any better: "Preach the gospel at all times: when necessary, use words."

Since her retirement, Ruth Ann volunteered at many organizations, most recently the Appleton Salvation Army, Spiritus in Menasha and St. Paul Elder Services, in Kaukauna.

Ruth Ann is survived by her children: Carla (Pete) Peck of Ogema, WI, Sharon (Craig) Collins, of Rockledge, FL, Paul (Deb) Gorski of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Mike (Lisa) Gorski of Delray Beach, FL, Carrie (Greg) Coleman, of Wernersville, PA and Chuck (Wendy) Gorski, of Prescott, AZ.  Ruth Ann is further survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Mary Lou Nushart, Janice (Jim) Lamers, Pat (Al) Lisowe, and brother Don (Wendy) Mielke as well as many friends.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence, her grandson Alex, an infant brother Anthony and her sisters Shirley Majeskie, Chris Eldred, Marge Hartman and Georgy Spietz.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday, May 12 at St. John Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood, WI. Visitation will take place from 8:00 am until the service, Tuesday May 12th at the church.

Mom, we are honoring your wish that no photo be included with your obituary; that it be short and only include the essential facts. If we had our way there would be a photo with your awesome smile. There are so many stories we would love to include, but we promised to do this your way. We hope we always make you proud.
