Roy Lee Hintz, Appleton, age 80, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 22, 2017. He was born March 18, 1937 in Bear Creek, was married to Lorena Hintz, his wife of 31 years, and resided in Appleton. Roy was a long-time employee of Neenah Foundry and worked as a chemist in the testing laboratory. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening, and had a special love for roses.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jewel and Beth Hintz; a son-in-law, Jeffrey Knuijt; and a granddaughter, Julie Knuijt. Roy is survived by his sister, Peggy (Hintz) Rue; his ex-wife and dear friend, Lorena Hintz; six children: Valerie Hintz, Denise (Roger) Konrad, Dennis (Susan) Hintz, Michael (Bonnie) Hintz, Daniel (Theresa) Hintz and Rachelle (Hintz) Smith (special friend Dennis Weiber); nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

The family will be celebrating his life at a private gathering at a later date.

Dad will be missed dearly, but he is finally pain free and dancing with the angels in heaven.
