Ronald Steven Stai, Sr., age 72, died Monday, April 15, 2024, in Appleton. He was born in Eau Claire on July 23, 1951, to the late Orrin and Bertha (Berg) Stai. Ron was an avid NASCAR fan, especially following Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He had an uncanny ability to predict the Packers or Brewers season after the first game each year, usually being wrong. Above all, Ron will be remembered for his love of family, always taking good care of them.

Ron is survived by his children: Amanda (James) Bielefeld, of Appleton; and RJ Stai, of Appleton; his grandchildren: Cayden Schucknecht, of Fremont; Jacqueline Ruwoldt, of Appleton; and Makayla Stai, of Appleton. He is further survived by his siblings: JoAnne Robertson, Vivian (Jerry) Kilgore, John (Barb) Stai, and Thomas (Robin) Stai.

In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his siblings: Orrin (Kathy) Stai, Richard (Debbie) Stai, Duwayne Stai, Robert Stai, Patricia Stai, Dianne Schwartz, and Barbara Meistad.

In accordance with Ron's wishes, no funeral services will be held.
