Ronald A. Parker, Appleton, went home to God on Sunday, June 18, 2017. He was 84 years old.

Ronald was born May 15, 1933, to Ronald and Jenny (Allen) Parker in West Port, Connecticut. Following his 1953 graduation from Central High School, he entered the U.S. Navy. Over the course of his Naval career, Ron served on 6 ships. He retired from the Navy as an Interior Communications Electrician. Ron was a member of the Appleton American Legion Post 38 and the Disabled American Veterans.

On November 20, 1954, Ron found his love and married Florence (Fidler) Parker. She survives him. They had 4 children: Dianna (Lou) Plano, Ron (Cindy) Parker, Jr., Floyd (Debra Engle) Parker, and Tina (Rick) Freitag. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and his first great-great-grandchild due in August.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; his step mother; brother, Ted; and grandchild Kim.

Visitation will be held July 8, 2017 at OUR SAVIOUR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH (3009 N. Meade St. Appleton, WI 54911) beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Dee Sim will officiate. Military honors, conducted by the Appleton American Legion Post 38, will immediately follow.
