Obituary

Ronald G. Ludtke, Little Chute, age 84, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2021, with his family by his side. Ron was born on August 18, 1936, in Appleton, to the late Gordon and Elsie (Hermes) Ludtke. Ron was a man of faith and a friend to all. He married Mary Siebers on June 14, 1958, at St. John Church in Little Chute, and together they built a life filled with love. Each day he and Mary played best-of-three cribbage games for bragging rights. They spent their winter months in Orange Beach, Alabama, for the past 23 years. Ron loved being with his family, especially at their cabin in Townsend. He enjoyed golf, gardening, tinkering in the garage, and feeding the birds. Ron was a union master plumber with Local 400, working at Basset Mechanical for many years. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 258.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary; his four children: Lynn (Bill) Van Berkel, Little Chute; Kay Romenesko, Combined Locks; Greg (Cindy) Ludtke, Suring; Kris (Chuck) Ledermann, Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren: Nate (Kim) Van Berkel; Gina Van Berkel; Nikki (Kurt) Vander Wielen; Becky (Ben) Wildenberg; Kelly (Derek) Zoran; Michael Behling (Melissa DeWitt); Farin (Marcus) Carlson; Lane Ludtke (fiancé Lexie Treul); Zenya Ledermann; Zaylie Ledermann; Van Ledermann. Ron also had six great-granddaughters: Aubrey, Ali and Hadie Vander Wielen; Anna, May and Della Wildenberg. He is further survived by his brother, Jack (Diane) Ludtke; and his siblings-in-law: Bob (Jeanie) Siebers; Jan (Jerry) Gonnering; Sara (John) Sprister; Gloria Siebers; Dick Langedyke as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his three stillborn baby girls: Ellen Mary, Mary Ellen, and Ann Margaret; along with his siblings-in-law: Cliff Siebers; Joan (Ken) Hermsen; Helen Langedyke; and Norb (Joan) Siebers; and his father- and mother-in-law, Pete and Ella Siebers.

Visitation will be held August 27, 2021, at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (411 Vandenbroek St., Little Chute), beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz and Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen will officiate. The funeral may also be attended via live stream on the church website (stjn.org – click on the live stream tab at the top of the page).  Committal St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
