Obituary

Roger R. Hooyman, Greenville, age 68, died Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Little Chute. He was born on October 31, 1948 in Appleton to Robert and Theresa (Coppus) Hooyman. Roger graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and served in the National Guard. He worked in construction and carpentry for many years before striking out and starting his own carpentry business.

Roger designed and built his home and enjoyed country music, line dancing, NASCAR, Sheepshead and fishing.

Roger is survived by his mother, Theresa; children: Trudy, Appleton; Troy (Crystal), Kaukauna; Tim (Heather Molgaard), Little Chute; and Travis (Natasha), Kimberly; their mother, Lynn Hooyman; grandchildren: Payton, Easton, Tate, Adler, Brittany (fiance Sam Mueller), Cassandra, Anthony and Ashley; great granddaughter, Kaiya; and siblings: Diane (John) Burmeister, Sharon (Jim) Verkuilen, Char (Werny) Heyndrickx, Debbie (Jeff) Dercks, Randal R. (Pamella) Hooyman, Gale (Rick) Peters and Vickie (Paul) Brihn. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Robert.

Visitation will be held Thursday at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Service at 12:00 Noon. Deacon Vincent De Groot will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery.
