Obituary

Robert J. Vanevenhoven,, Kimberly, age 79, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, May 2, 2016. He was born in Little Chute on June 5, 1936 to the late Ervin and Martha (Hermsen) Vanevenhoven. On January 24, 1959 Robert married Myra Feller at Holy Cross Parish in Kaukauna. She preceded him in death on November 28, 1982. He married Susan (Damm) Uecker on January 21, 1989 in Appleton. She preceded him in death on May 3, 2010. Robert enjoyed deer hunting in Big Falls for many years. He also enjoyed reading, cryptogram puzzles, tending to his flowers and bird watching. Robert loved going out for breakfast with his fellow Kimberly Clark retirees and his family.

Robert is survived by his children: Keith (Dianne) of Oshkosh; Michael (Susan) of Sobieski; and Susan (Thomas) Vercauteren of Appleton; step children: Jim (Doris) Uecker of Appleton; Kim Uecker of Arkansas; and Jodi Huth of Greenville; grandchildren: Eric (fiancée Cassie Ritchie), Jordan (Maki) and Rebecca Vanevenhoven, Amy and Matthew Vercauteren, Michaela and Gus Vanevenhoven, Nicole and Melanie Uecker, Brianna and Danielle Huth and Austin Shultz; and was happily anticipating the birth of his first great grandchild in December. He is further survived by his siblings: Donald "Chick" Vanevenhoven, Carol Berghuis and Paul (Sue) Vanevenhoven; brothers and sisters-in-law: Janine and Bonnie Vanevenhoven, Barbie (John) Tetzlaff, Gary (Diane) and John (Giovanna) Feller; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Robert Vanevenhoven Jr.; Myra's parents, Harold and Elvira Feller; brothers: Jerry and John Vanevenhoven; and sisters and brother-in-law: Donna Vanevenhoven, Donna Snow and Jerry Berghuis.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery.
