Obituary

Robert (Bob) Joseph Strick, age 84, died Wednesday December 23, 2020.  Bob was born in Little Chute, WI on October 4 th , 1936 to the late Arnold and Blanche (Pennings) Strick.  Bob was extremely proud of his four years of service in the Air Force where he served his country both overseas and at home during the Korean War.  Following his tour of duty in the Air Force, Bob received his undergraduate degree and Master's degree in mathematics and started his journey as a High School Math Teacher.  It was his personal mission to pass on his love and passion for mathematics to the next generation of students every school year during his career.  With his passion in teaching mathematics, he wanted to make sure students were challenged each and every day in his classroom.  Students either loved this challenge, or hated this challenge, but it never swayed how Bob taught them.  He wanted his students to come out of his class with as much love and appreciation for mathematics as he had and understand the important role it will play in their future lives.

After his numerous years as an educator, Bob started his own tax business helping individuals and businesses with their accounting and tax preparations.  It was in this role, which he continued to perform well into his later years, where he created a business that he could be proud of.

When Bob wasn't working, he enjoyed watching any Wisconsin sports teams on TV or in person (Badgers, Packers, Bucks, and Brewers) and many other sporting events that his children and grandchildren played.

Bob will be remembered for his eccentric interactions, driven passions, and confidence in action.

Bob is survived by his three children: Deborah Lay, Eau Claire, Mike (Debbie) Strick, Appleton, Brian Strick, Talent, Oregon; two grandchildren, Ethan and Emma Strick, Appleton; and sister-in laws, Arsella Strick and Lois Strick.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife Lotte, and his siblings:  Loretta (Paul) Kinder, Marie (Roger) Thiel, William (Doris) Strick, Earl "Nip" Strick, and Paul "Beeler" Strick.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private family service will take place. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery.
