Robert "Bob" C. Acker, age 80, of Appleton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 29, 2022. Robert was born to the late Clarence and Irene (Pries) Acker on October 14, 1941. He married his wife, Loretta Dombeck, on March 31, 1962, in Milwaukee. Robert's passion in life were cars, whether that was building them, working on them, or collecting them. Robert enjoyed traveling, making trips all over to see NASCAR races, and also traveling across the United States and Canada in their RV for 12 years. Above all things, Robert loved his family, always enjoying time spent with them. Over the years, Robert also enjoyed crafting airplanes out of aluminum cans.

Robert is survived by his wife of 59 years, Loretta; his children: Thomas Acker, of Kaukauna; Scott (Patti) Acker, of Escanaba, MI; Joey (Teresa) Acker, of Bentonville, AR; and Carmen (J.D.) Brown, of Kaukauna; his grandchildren: Jenni (Dan) Dubord; Jade Acker; Jami (Andy) Boursaw; Tiffany (Evan) Owens; Brittany (John) Donald; Joshua (Bailey) Acker; Adam (fiancée Hannah) Brown; and Andrew (Monica) Brown; and great-grandchildren: Hallee, Harlee, Finlee, Mya, Ella, Isla, Quincy, Zionnah, Zabel, Zaylor, Eliana, Oliver, Rayne, and Renley Jo. Robert is further survived by his siblings: Kaye Meyer; James (Cindy) Acker; and Wendy (Russ) Hunt; and his sister-in-law, Barbara Acker.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by two great-granddaughters, Zyla and Pearl; his brother, William Acker; and his siblings-in-law: Deborah Dombeck; Beverly (Ernest) Stoltz, and LeRoy Meyer.

Visitation for Robert will be held Friday, February 18, 2022, at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral at 1:00 p.m.
