Richard J. Vanden Bloomen, better known as Richie, age 63 passed away at home unexpectedly but peacefully on April 9, 2021.

Richie was a great friend to all who were blessed to have him in their life.  He would give the shirt off of his back in order to help anyone in need. Richie loved to get together with his old high school friends for a good game of cards. He also loved music and he really loved his Friday night fish dinners.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald (Jerry) and Marie Vanden Bloomen. Survivors include his brothers, Dennis (Rebecca) Vanden Bloomen and Dave (Kathy) Vanden Bloomen; and his favorite sister, Susan (Thomas) Natrop. Rich had a very special connection with Sue and especially her dog Winnie, who Richie loved so much. He is further survived by nieces and nephews: David, Michelle, Michael, and Gretchen; great niece and nephews: Alex, Logan and Ava; his Aunt Jean; and many cousins.

Richie kept his circle of friends quite small but had continuous friendships throughout these years.

Rich's request was to make his celebration of life low key. There will not be a public visitation or funeral. The family will gather for a private ceremony.
