Richard W. Lamers, Kaukauna, age 58, died Monday, May 9, 2016 at his home. He was born in Appleton on March 21, 1958 to the late Donald and Margaret (Kunstman) Lamers. Rich married Lori Berghuis on August 13, 1988 at St. Mary's Parish in Brillion. He worked at Fox Valley Wood Products until his illness caused him to retire in 2010 after 33 years of service.

Rich had a natural talent for fixing anything broken. He enjoyed helping with projects for family and friends. Rich was a private man and an extremely devoted husband and father. He loved his sports and loved cheering for the Packers, Brewers and Badgers.

Rich is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lori; their children: Jacob and Rachel; siblings: Tom (Betty) Lamers, Barb Maass, Sue (Tony) Hagens, Jan (Brian) Jorstad and Joe (Jim) Lamers; father-in-law, Jack Berghuis; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul (Wendy), Mary and John Berghuis. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Rosemary Berghuis; his brother, Dennis Lamers; and his brother-in-law, Chuck Maass.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 3:30 p.m. until time of Funeral at 6:00 p.m. Deacon Vincent De Groot will officiate.

Dad – Although we miss you terribly, we are happy that your suffering is over. Look down on us and guide us until we are reunited again. You were always so willing to help us when we came to you. Love, Jacob and Rachel
