Richard P. "Rich" Joosten, Little Chute, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton.  He was born in Little Chute on October 18, 1933 to the late John and Anna (Van Groll) Joosten.  Rich served in the U.S. Army from 1955-57.  He married Beverly Otto on November 7, 1958 at SS Peter and Paul Parish in Hortonville.  Rich enjoyed cutting his grass and an ice cold beer.  In his younger years, he also liked to fish.  Rich worked at Thilmany Pulp and Paper until his retirement in 1995.

Rich is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beverly; sons: Mark (Jill Engel) and Gary (Betsy), all of Appleton; grandson, Travis; sister, Martha Vanden Boogart; and brothers-in-law, Lyle (Barb) Otto and Norman (Carol) Young.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his siblings and other relatives.

A private family funeral will be held at O'Connell Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Belitz officiating.  Rich will be buried at St. John Cemetery, Little Chute.
