Philip J. Williams, Little Chute, age 92, died Saturday, March 16, 2024.  He was born in Illinois on May 4, 1931 and married Marilyn "Lynn" Wollenberg at Holy Name Parish on February 19, 1955.  She preceded him in death on March 14, 2021.  Philip retired from Appleton Papers.

Philip loved all sports, but especially golf and baseball.  As a young man, he played for the Appleton Foxes and was a teammate of Bob Uecker.  Philip was a member of the Fox Valley Golf Club.  Together, he and Lynn loved attending the various games of their nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Philip loved to cook and enjoyed a good meal.  He was a regular at the Heiting Place on Sundays for broasted chicken and at Cash and Swillie's on Tuesdays for the horse races with his good friend Bob.  Philip also enjoyed a good Southern Comfort Old Fashioned Sweet or a Rum and Coke.  He was a great story teller of the past and had a great memory.

Philip is survived by his brother-in-law, Virgil (Joan nee Schwaller) Wollenberg; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lynn; and other members of the Williams and Wollenberg families.

In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral was held.
