Obituary

Peter Harold Jochman (Pete), age 68, passed peacefully at home on April 27, 2026. He was born on July 4, 1957, the son of Edward P. and Eunice M. (Schmeichel) Jochman. He grew up on the family farm in Black Creek, WI, and graduated from Seymour High School with the class of 1975. He graduated from Fox Valley Technical College and worked as a diesel mechanic until his retirement in 2018.

On October 27, 1979, Pete was united in marriage to Jo Peeters at St. Johns Church in Little Chute, WI. Together they had five children.

Pete was a devoted and loyal family man. He was a hard-working mechanic, whose greased hands and shop clothes confirmed the sacrifices he made to ensure his family was provided for, protected, and loved. He taught the importance of hard work and how to find the joy in life’s simple pleasures. Pete had a gift for fixing just about anything and passed many of his skills on to his children. Pete was a man of great patience, had a love for his country, and deep faith in God as his Savior. Pete had a unique, kind and soft-spoken manner and was always willing to help solve a problem no matter how big or small. He was a good example of a godly husband; devoted to Jo and loving her unconditionally just as Christ loves the Church. Pete gave his life to Jesus. He was baptized on November 5, 2023. You could be sure to see him at Alliance Church each Sunday morning; worshiping Jesus, sharing his faith and serving in Discovery Land.

Pete loved spending time with his family and passed on his passion for wrestling to many of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed attending family sporting events, birthday parties, and school activities. He made sure to step away from his shop work to fire up his tractors and give his grandkids wagon rides. Pete participated in tractor pulls and loved attending community farming events. You could see his face light up as he showed off his Farmall tractors. “If it’s not a Farmall, it’s not a tractor.”

Pete is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jo; his children: Becky (Raymond) Froehlich, Mark (Jessica), Nathan (Kayla), Neil (partner Meg), and Noah (Stephanie); and his grandchildren: Jude, Esther, Karson, Weston, Dominick, Elijah, Gage, Olivia, Kelvin, Jase, and Coraleigh. He is also survived by seven brothers: twin brother Paul (Mary), Don (Cheryl), Ray (Joy), Tim (Kenny), Stan (Sue), and Ben; four sisters: Roseanna (LeRoy) Frahm, Nancy Phoenix, Margie (Dick) Thomson, and Angie (Keith) Moehring; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Eunice and his brother Richard.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4th, 2026, at ALLIANCE CHURCH APPLETON (2693 W. Grand Chute Boulevard, Appleton, WI) from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. His Funeral will follow at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Mark Tegtmeier. Committal St. John Cemetery, Little Chute.

The family asks that you kindly consider a donation in Pete’s honor to Fox Valley Lions Medical Loan Locker, 312 W Northland Ave, Appleton, WI 54911.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Rigstad from Primary Care in Appleton for his compassion and time.

Pete will be greatly missed by all those who loved him, but we rest in knowing he is with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior in his new Glorified body.

“I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” -John 14:6
