Peter Joseph
Bartolazzi
October 8, 1938 – March 7, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Joseph Bartolazzi announces his passing on March 7th, 2026.
Peter was born in Auburn, IL, on October 8, 1938, to Peter and Marge (Cisman) Bartolazzi. He grew up playing sports and developed a lifelong love of the outdoors. Peter went on to college and earned a degree in radiology. He was teaching radiology technologists at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL, when he met the love of his life, Mary Dee Heintz. They were married on March 15, 1969.
Peter worked in multiple areas of radiology over the years—from teaching to managing—and ultimately retired as the Director of Radiology at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI.
Peter was an Eagle Scout and loved hunting, fishing, golf, and just about anything outdoors. Later in life, he shifted from hunting to shooting sporting clays. He was an avid fan of the Wisconsin Badgers, Packers, and Brewers, though he never fully gave up his love for the St. Louis Cardinals. He was passionate about college sports and followed them closely. Peter was also a collector of baseball hats and had quite an impressive assortment. But most of all, he loved Mary Dee's home cooked meals and homemade pies.
Peter especially cherished time with his grandchildren. He encouraged them to share in his love of the outdoors and enjoyed teaching them hunting, fishing, golf, and sporting clays.
Peter will be remembered by his children: Keith (Debbie) Bartolazzi, Peter (Geralyn) Bartolazzi, Tom (Camie) Bartolazzi, Angie (Mike) Boudreau, and Theresa Bellile. His grandchildren: Megan Boudreau; Conner and Claire Bellile; Jordyn and Joe Bartolazzi; Liz and David Bartolazzi; Michael, CJ, Shelly, Nick, and Hope Bartolazzi; Christei, Peter, and Amanda Bartolazzi; along with his 22 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dee; his son, Kevin; his parents, Peter and Marge; his brothers, Don and Dave; and his father and mother-in-law, William and Irma.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. His Funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Hank Wildenberg officiating. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at Aspire Assisted Living and St Croix Hospice for their compassionate care and dedication during Peter's final days.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
