Heaven has opened its gate and welcomed another angel on Friday, December 16, 2022.  Paula Yonker, age 63, passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer, surrounded by her loved ones.  She was born on September 18, 1959 in Waukesha, WI, the daughter of Archie and Beverly (Hassett) Fletcher.  Paula spent most of her childhood in Waukesha, until her family moved to Bowler, WI where she met the love of her life, Larry Yonker.  Paula and Larry married on October 1, 1983 and they moved to Appleton in the early 1990's.  In Appleton, she worked as a machinist for many years.  Paula enjoyed spending her time playing cards with her family and friends.  She also loved spending time with her grandkids, watching them play sports or just being with them.  Paula love Christmas time.  It was her favorite holiday, followed closely by Halloween, when her nickname was the Wicked Witch.

Paula is survived by her children:  Melissa Long, Nathan (Holly) Yonker, Julie (Chad) Hohn, and Kira (Sam) Kirchner; grandchildren:  Lucas, Riley, Dominic, Katelyn, Lilly, Dylan, Isaiah, Chance, Ethan, Annabella, and Benjamin; siblings:  Sandra (Ed) Jasken, Kathy (Dave) Deulery, Brenda Erickson, Laura (Wayne) Grosskoph, William (Christine) Fletcher, Mark Fletcher, and Donald Fletcher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Beverly Fletcher; husband, Larry Yonker; grandchildren:  Collin and Whitney Long; sister, Donna Bushy; and brother, Thomas Fletcher.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at ST. LUKE LUTHERAN CHURCH (705 E. Greenfield Drive, Little Chute) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ronald Szep officiating.  Committal Tigerton Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established and may be directed to St. Luke Lutheran Church or O'Connell Funeral Home.
