Paul Douglas Osterberg, 64, of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, passed away on August 5, 2019 following a courageous battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Linda (Hall) Osterberg; their children, Amanda Osterberg (Kenneth Brazil) of Appleton and PV2 Ryan Osterberg, United States Army National Guard (Sarah Coenen) of Kaukauna; father, Ralph Osterberg of Kaukauna; father-in-law, Duane (Judy) Hall of Jim Falls; sisters, Deborah (Perry) Mangum of Kaukauna, Julie (John) Bueter of Sheboygan and Sarah (Troy) Inman of De Pere; granddaughter, Monica Jean; many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Jean Osterberg; grandparents, Mabel and Edward Teufert, Clara and Arthur Anderson and Edward Osterberg; and mother-in-law, Betty Hall.

Paul was born on October 14, 1954 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force and former volunteer firefighter. He married his soulmate, Linda Hall, on September 2, 1994. She, their children and his granddaughter were the center and joy of his life. Paul was an avid photographer and a gifted mechanic who loved classic cars and trucks, animals, including beloved dogs, Cocoa and Cinnamon, the outdoors, flowers and hummingbirds – and especially camping, grilling and holiday celebrations with family and friends. He was a man of few words who spoke volumes with his mischievous smile, a raised eyebrow and a twinkle in his eye.

Paul's family extends special thanks to Carol Bernard, Sarah Coenen and Theda Care Hospice (especially nurses Jolene and Dawn) for their support and kindness during Paul's final days.

Paul will be laid to rest at Hildegard Cemetery in Conover, Wisconsin on Saturday, September 7, 2019.
