Paul O. Kortz, Freedom, age 72, died Friday, July 28, 2023.  He was born in Appleton on December 19, 1950 to the late Orin and Rosella (Green) Kortz.  Throughout his life, Paul (also known as Puff) enjoyed working the pit crew for race cars, being a father to his 4 daughters, pig farming, and working the land.  He could often be found sitting on his porch, enjoying the view.  He was always good for a helping hand and a laugh and enjoyed a good sense of humor all the way through to the end.

Paul is survived by his children:  Nicole (Tom) Matuszak, Appleton; Ashley Kortz, Freedom; Katie (Brandon Hawks) Kortz, Appleton; and Amanda (Bill Hietpas) Kortz, Kaukauna; grandchildren:  Drake (Big Guy) and Halle Hietpas; and siblings:  Jack Kortz, Dorothy (Jerry) Haberland, Janice (Bill) Farrell, Gary (Theresa) Kortz, and Terry Kortz.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon David Hayden officiating.
