Paul P. Janssen, age 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. He was born to Peter and Martha (Ebben) on June 20, 1932. Paul attended school at St. John's in Little Chute. He married Audrey Williamson at Holy Name Parish on September 23, 1954. He worked at the Kimberly Mill for 45 years, and also at Gelpke Nursery for many more. Paul loved being outside, walking, biking, fishing, and tending to his lawn, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed sharing his love of nature with his grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his wife of 68 years, Audrey (Williamson) Janssen; his sons: Richard and Bruce (JoAnn); his daughters: Lisa (Mike) Kugel, Diane DeBlieck, and Amy (Jay) Ourada; his 17 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers: Gerrit (Marge), Pete, and Joe; siblings-in-law: Ted Kuether, Janet Janssen, Ken Williamson, David (Judy) Williamson, Mary Lou Williamson, and Nancy (Paul Rettler) Landgraf; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his sisters: Rosemary (Dave) West, Marianne (Larry) Schnabel, and Sylvia Kuether; his brothers: Les, Don (Cook), Orville, Roman (Bernice), and Kenneth (Carol); his sisters-in-law: Marlene, and Jane; as well as Audrey's siblings: Dick, Allen, and Rosemary Williamson, and John Landgraf.
Visitation will be held September 16, 2022 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH – DARBOY CHURCH (W2796 Cty. Rd. KK, Appleton, WI 54915) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Carl Schmitt officiating. Committal Highland Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank all the nurses from ThedaCare Hospice, Cherry Meadows and Apple Creek Assisted Living, especially Amber, Peggy, Robin, Dawn, Nichole, and Michelle for their great care.
