Obituary

Patrick D. Stache, Hilbert, age 74, died at his home on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.  He was born in Appleton on March 29, 1952, to the late Reuben Stache and Jeanne (Fisch) Anthony.

His passion was farming, and he took great pride in sharing his agricultural knowledge with others and at times using antique equipment.  In his free time, he enjoyed listening to rock music and attending rock concerts, watching classic war movies and westerns, building his model railroad, and playing cards—especially cribbage and sheepshead—with family and friends.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Christine; children:  Jennifer (Mike) Dedering of Brillion; Jaime (Lonnie) Reese of New Holstein; Melissa (Mike) Mrotek of Green Bay; and Erin Stache (Todd Hyster) of Princeton, NJ; grandchildren:  Kyle (Marissa) and Sean Dedering, Joshua, Jonathan, and Kaitlyn (fiancé Mitchell Stary) Watson, Madelyn Mrotek, and Audrienne and Elizabeth Hyster; great grandchildren:  Aubrey and Grant Dedering, with two more on the way; sisters:  Joni (Dave Rice) Cartier, Elaine Stache, Debbie (Randy) Augustinak, Theresa (Randy) Reuter, Carolyn (Tim) Martin, and Barb (David) Hand; brother, Keith (Shelby) Stache; brothers and sisters-in-law:  Gary (Pam) Allwardt, Mark (Connie) Allwardt, Julene (Jeff) Gerrits, and Sandra (Jeff) Weiland.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben (Harriet) Stache and Jeanne (Wayne) Anthony; father and mother-in-law, Kenneth C. and Wilma (Wiegand) Allwardt; brother, Reuben Stache; brother-in-law, Richard Allwardt; sister-in-law, Debbie (Gary) Allwardt; and nephews, Brian and Ted Gerrits.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH RANTOUL (N6080 W River Road, Hilbert) from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.  His Funeral will follow at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Mark L. Krueger officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
