Patricia A. Jansen, Little Chute, age 85, died Saturday November 22, 2014 at her home. She was born in Little Chute on February 1, 1929 to the late Joseph and Katherine (Schumacher) Driessen. Pat married Jim Jansen on August 25, 1949 at St. John Nepomucene. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2007 after 59 years of marriage. She taught at St. John School for over 25 years until her retirement in 1993. As a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Pat sang in the Resurrection Choir and enjoyed sewing with the ladies in the Mission Club. She also volunteered and sang at Parkside Care Center. Pat rarely missed a televised Brewer game and never missed a Packer game.
Pat is survived by her children: Sandy (Jay) Van Thiel, Townsend; Wayne (Karen) Jansen, De Pere; Cheryl (Tom) McCarthy, Appleton; and Bev (Jerry) Romenesko, Kimberly; grandchildren: Nikki Van Thiel (Doug Cunningham) and Jason (Beth Wilson) Van Thiel, Shayne and Brent Jansen, Dani (Charlie) Hietpas, Tannor (Tonya) Williams, Eric (Kim), Scott (Jamie) and Tami (Kurt Smith) Romenesko; great grandchildren: Lily, Cole, Macy, Crue, Gabriella, Meadow, Hailey, Ethan, Dayne and Annabel; and brother Kenneth (Joan) Driessen. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband Jim, Pat was preceded in death by her brothers: Fred (Marian) and Robert (Regina) Driessen; sisters: Dorothy (Vincent) Godschalx and Barbara (David) Hartmann; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Harold "Hipe" (Bernadette) Jansen and Dorothy (Melborne) Frank.
Visitation will be held Saturday November 29, 2014 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery.
