Patricia A. Biesterveld, Appleton, age 83, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015 with her husband and family at her side. She was born in Appleton on December 4, 1931 to the late Orin and Magdalene (Bestler) Palmer. She married Donald Biesterveld on August 22, 1953 at Sacred Heart Parish where she was a lifelong member. Pat retired from Riverside/Fox Communities Credit Union in 1997 after 27 years of service. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, gardening and tending to her flowers.
Pat is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald; children: Mark (Nancy) of Brookfield; Pete (Kris) of Ogdensburg; Paul (Ellen) of Appleton; John (Renee) of Rhinelander; and Beth (William) Mondzac of Seattle; grandchildren: Andy, Ben (Nicole), Adam, Tami, Tyler (Katie Williams), Drew (Christina Peterson), Reid, Ross (Julie) and Amanda Biesterveld, Bill Lichtfuss and Max Mondzac; great grandchildren: Graham, Asher and Olivia Biesterveld; brother: Orin "Butch" Palmer; and brothers and sisters-in-law: William Matey, Mary K. (Mike) Ourada and Marion Biesterveld. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her sister: Mary Lee Matey; and sister and brothers-in-law: Elaine (Lester) Grones and Virgil Biesterveld.
Visitation will be held Thursday September 24, 2015 at SACRED HEART PARISH (222 E. Fremont St. Appleton) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Donald Zuleger will officiate. A memorial is being established.
