Norbert P. "Nubby" Fox, of Mountain, formerly of Freedom, age 74, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 7, 2016. He was born in Kaukauna on August 29, 1941 to the late Henry and Josephine (Vanden Bloomer) Fox. Norbert married Joan Bergman on May 4, 1963 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. Nubby spent most of his career at Badger Northland. He then worked at Prime Industrial Tanks until his retirement in 2006. Nubby loved to spend time on their land in Mountain and ultimately built their retirement home there. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, feeding the birds and playing cards. Nubby treasured his grandchildren.
Norbert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan; children: Craig of Mountain; Scott "Scooter" (Penny) of Lakewood; and Chris (Jeff) Hooyman of Kaukauna; grandchildren: Alisa and Alex Fox, Carter and MiliJo Hooyman, and granddog Peanut; siblings: Dort (Frank) Jordan, Shirley Seefeldt and Pete Fox; and sisters-in-law: Mary Fox, Nancy (Butch) Miller, Mary (Dave) Arnoldussen and Sandy Walker. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Norbert was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, John and Margaret Bergman; siblings: Jim Fox, Jerry (Pat) Fox and Marlene Holschuh; and brother-in-law, Chuck Walker.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 4:00 p.m. until time of Funeral at 7:00 p.m. Deacon Bruce Corey will officiate.
