Nancy J.
Peters
November 25, 1957 – November 10, 2021
Nancy J. Peters, age 63, of Kaukauna, died peacefully Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. Nancy was born in Kaukauna on November 25, 1957, to the late Aloysius and Eunice (Baeten) Peters. Nancy worked for Bel Brands Kaukauna Cheese for 35 years until her retirement. Nancy lived her life on her own terms. She had the biggest heart and always put others before herself. Even with her many health issues she always took the time to be there for others. She loved getting together with family and friends, and found great joy in sitting out in her backyard, enjoying nature. She also enjoyed living the high life with friends and family at Legend Lake, fishing with Don, going on ski trips with family, and snowmobiling with her friends.
Nancy is survived by the love of her life of 42 years, Don Mohr; her siblings: Diane Peters (Ron Schroeder) of Kaukauna, Raymond (Amy) Peters of Hollandtown, Debra Peters of Kaukauna, and JoAnn (Mark) Petras of Kaukauna; her siblings-in-law: Julie Schroeder, Janet Mohr, Rose (Bob) Mohr, Joe Mohr, and Rick Cartwright. Nancy is further survived by her many nieces and nephews that she loved with all her heart.
In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her brother, Gerald "Jerry" Peters, and her sister-in-law, Carol Cartwright.
Visitation for Nancy will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St., Little Chute) beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of prayer service at 4:00 p.m. with Deacon Steve Vande Hey officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ThedaCare staff, especially the eighth floor pulmonary doctors and nurses. We also appreciate and would like to thank Father Patrick Costello for his compassion and thoughtfulness.
