Obituary

Michelle "Shelly" L. Farrell, 55 of Menasha, passed away unexpectedly April 22nd, 2025. She was born November 26th, 1969 in Chilton to parents Tom and Collen Farrell, currently of Greenville.
Shelly was a kind, giving, beautiful soul who shared her wisdom and helped others see their worth. She always gave more than she received, but lifting another's spirit was enough to make her day.
Shel was well known throughout the Fox Cities and beyond for producing creative quality tie dyes with love and pride over the past 25 plus years. Many people have stopped by her tie dye business (Bleeding Rainbow Tie Dyes) at various festivals over those years, and either bought their first tie dye t-shirt or many more to add to their collection. Shelly maintained positive relationships with her customers over the years.
Shel spent much of her time helping our community in various ways from small business networking to raising money and collecting donations for benefits funding organizations she cared for. Shelly was also a proud member of Road Angelz Sisterhood, a local non-profit women empowered club that raises awareness and hosts fundraisers for various local organizations. To her sisters, Shelly was Lady Dye. And she will be greatly missed.
Shelly is survived by her son, Damian, her parents, Tom and Colleen, brother, Tim of Brillion, sisters Terri (Brian) Wilharms of Appleton and Patti Farrell (Tony Ellenbecker) of Appleton, nephews Thomas Wilharms (Kara Zastrow) and their son Sawyer of Appleton and Stoughten Burkheimer (Nevaeh Best) of Appleton, niece Adrienne Wilharms (Brett Krueger) of Valders, and the best beloved grand dog ever, King Arfur, as well as many other aunts, uncles cousins and so, so many friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, as well as her godmother and very close aunt, Carol and godfather and uncle Dick as well as her brother Michael.
A celebration of life will take place at Stone Toad in Menasha on Tuesday, May 13th, 2025  from 4-8pm. Please make a donation to a local non-profit of your choice in Shel's honor.
