Michael James Petrie, 66, passed away on May 26th 2015 at his daughter's home in Appleton, WI. He was born on January 7th 1949 in Milwaukee, WI to David and Alice Petrie.

Michael grew up in Big Bend, WI. He graduated from Mukwonago Union High in Mukwonago, WI in 1967. During high school he received many awards for cross country and track including state champ and all conference. He worked hard all his life to provide for his family and retired a few years ago to enjoy life in Wild Rose, WI. Michael was a social man with a big heart who would always lend hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed many things including hunting, fishing, horseshoes, bowling, pool, darts, snowmobiling, and let's not forget his Friday run.

Michael is survived by his daughters Ashley Petrie of Wild Rose and Megan (Matt) Rosplochowski of Appleton, and his four grandchildren Nevaeh 13, Morgan 13, Matthew 5, and Charlotte 1. He is also survived by his brothers Richard "Richy" (Linda) of Big Bend, Steven "Rusty" of Eagle, David "Skippy" of Waukesha, and his sister Carole "Carrie" of New Lisbon as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents David and Alice Petrie and his brother Daniel "Danny" Petrie.

Per request of Michael there will be no funeral. Michael wanted his life to be celebrated with a gathering of all his friends and family. The gathering will be held Saturday May 30th at 1:30PM at Sluggers Sports Bar in Wild Rose, WI
