Michael John Haupt, died on his 74th birthday, Friday, August 9, 2024, after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was born in Green Bay on to the late John and Helen (Schwinderman) Haupt on August 9, 1950. After serving his country in the United States Army, Mike married the love of his life, Theresa Smith, on April 15, 1972, in Bardstown, Kentucky. He spent the rest of his career driving truck for Appleton Coated before his retirement. Mike was a board member of Pel-Cho Muddnutz and was also a member of the ATV Club. Mike could often be found doing shake of the day at his favorite bars and loved participating in football pools with his buddy Joe Van Offeren. He enjoyed golfing, trail-riding, playing cribbage, and ice fishing, but above all, Mike cherished any time spent with his family.

Mike is survived by his wife of 52 years, Theresa; his two children: Barbara (Mike) Seefeldt, of Hartland, and Michael (Jenny) Haupt, of Kaukauna; and his grandchildren: Colin and Conor Seefeldt, Riley Broder, and Morgan Haupt. He is further survived by his siblings and siblings-in-law: Richard (Dorothy) Kloes, of Lena; Barbara (Clyde) Brown, of Bardstown, KY; Alice (Leroy) Mattingly, of Bardstown, KY; and Roddy Buntain; as well as multiple nieces, nephews, and close friends from the Fox Valley and Pelican Lake areas.

In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Robert "Domino" and Alice Smith; his brother, Peter Schmitz; and his siblings-in-law: Judy (Billy) Godbey, and Mary Buntain. Mike's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the ThedaCare Cancer Center at Encircle Health for their compassionate care.

A celebration of life will be held at Down the Hill Bar in Little Chute this coming October. Further details will be announced at a later date.
