Michael F.
Allgeyer
May 13, 1950 – March 11, 2021
Michael Francis Allgeyer was born on May 13th, 1950 and left this world on March 11th, 2021. He was survived by his daughter, Adrea Allgeyer who at the time was deployed and Kuwait; siblings: Jackie (Allgeyer) Skinner, Robert Allgeyer Jr., Pat (Sue) Allgeyer, Mary (Allgeyer) Wouters and and Kathy(Allgeyer)/ Dave Vanden Bloomen; biological granddaughter Mackenzie Serenity Rose; nieces and nephews: Rachel and Aaron Matteson, David and Amber Vanden Bloomen, Ben and Sara Allgeyer, Travis and Sara Wouters, and Brett and Lindsey Allgeyer; God son Blake Palmer; and many friends.
Mike graduated from Kaukauna High School, the class of 1968, where he was part of the high school football, basketball, and wrestling teams. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Wisconsin - Stevens point and was a member of the swim team. His major was in psychology but he left college to become part owner of Bob and Mary and Mike's bar in downtown Kaukauna. He then moved to California and became a property manager and started drywalling. This led him to move to Georgia where he lived for many years, working in property management and drywalling. He moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to his daughter where she relocated. He became a highwayman driving truck for many years for Schneider International, Beach Enterprises, and Midwest Carriers and traveled to all parts and all points of the United States. Mike loved to travel and he loved trucking. He gained a traveling partner and a co-pilot, Milo the cat, his daughter's cat while she was deployed to Iraq and then again when she went to Afghanistan. Milo became his buddy. Mike was a big sports fanatic and loved football, baseball, softball, NASCAR, etc. He had a passion for fastpitch softball. He started out pitching for Bob and Mary's in Kaukauna, Wisconsin which led him to join a men's fastpitch softball traveling League with Charlie's Trading Post in Atlanta, Georgia pitching for many years and traveling around the country and tournaments until shoulder problems ended his pitching. He treasured all the friendships and memories he made along the way it was his family away from his family. He gained the nickname Big Hap as in Big Happy and some called him Big Mike as well. His weakness was having a big heart and he helped people even though he had nothing to give, besides the shirt off his own back and knowing he would get nothing in return. But that was him that is what people call the act of kindness. He loved people, he loved his family, and he loved spending time with this family when all were in town from out of state or going out to breakfast with ones that live in Wisconsin. He enjoyed being around people and making them laugh with his humor.
He loved all kinds of music and played the harmonica for years while listening to Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and The Beatles. His passion was the blues and he loved The Blues Brothers. He even took his daughter to see Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and The Beach Boys.
There will be no service for Mike due to the fact not all family will be present and due to Covid. There will be private celebration of life for family members only.
Michael Allgeyer was a great guy and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
A Letter From Heaven
When tomorrow starts without me and I'm not there to see; If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me. I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today; While thinking of the many things we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me as much as I love you; And each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too. When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right here in your heart.
