Mary F. Van Lanen, Combined Locks, age 82 died Monday May 3, 2010 at her home. She was born on April 27, 1928 in Kimberly to the late George and Cecilia (Vandenberg) Rooyakkers. Mary married Richard Van Lanen at Holy Name Church in Kimberly on September 6, 1947. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2006 after 58 years of marriage. Mary's hobbies included crafts, bingo, cards and traveling. She really enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren, as well as her many friends and neighbors. Mary was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed it.
Mary is survived by her sons, Mark (Sue), De Pere; Guy (Cindy), Combined Locks; and Jack (Kay), Little Chute; grandchildren: Matt, Andy, Nick, Brett, Mike and Sam Van Lanen; siblings: Cora Ulmen, Theresa Bongers, Ceil (Ray) Mc Cormick, George (Audrey), Everett (Mary) and Leo Rooyakkers; brothers and sisters-in-law: Junior (Moe) Van Lanen, Delores Feldkamp, Vivian (Jack) Schaefer, Mary Jean Van Lanen, Helen Rooyakkers, Mary Jo Rooyakkers and Ethel (Maury) Brockman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by siblings: Peter, Paul, Hank (Jo Ann), Tony, France and Bernadette Rooyakkers; father and mother-in-law Albert and Delia (Peeters) Van Lanen; and sisters and brothers-in-law: Marge Rooyakkers, Carl Ulmen, Ray Bongers, Gene Van Lanen and Bob Feldkamp.
Visitation will be held Thursday May 6, 2010 from 1:30 p.m. until time of Mass at 4:00 p.m. at ST. PAUL PARISH (410 Wallace St. Combined Locks). The Rev. James Lucas will officiate.
