Mary H. Hopfensperger, age 78, died early Thursday, January 2, 2025. Mary was born in Appleton on November 2, 1946, to the late Joseph and Marie (Jochmann) Hopfensperger. She worked for many years in the St. Elizabeth Emergency Room before beginning with Clintonville Area Ambulance Service as an EMT, retiring in 2008. Mary was an avid Chicago Bears fan and will be remembered as a very adventurous woman. She enjoyed traveling and even began the process of obtaining her pilot's license.

Mary is survived by her brothers, Edward and Roger, along with Roger's wife Sheila, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her sisters Lucy and Marion, along with Marion's husband Carl.

Visitation for Mary will be held at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH (500 W. Marquette Street, Appleton) on January 14, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and concluding at 11:15 a.m. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
