Obituary

Mary Catherine Hietpas, Little Chute, age 77, died Friday June 29, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born May 1, 1935 in Little Chute to the late Celestine "Les" and Veronica (Reichel) Sanders. Mary Catherine married Neil Hietpas on August 20, 1955 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. He preceded her in death September 29, 2003. Mary Catherine loved to knit. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and meeting them for lunch at Landreman's where she was quite the social butterfly. When her kids were in high school, she worked as a crossing guard in Little Chute.

Mary Catherine is survived by her children: Don, Little Chute; Doug (Margo), Freedom; Kathy (Dave) Jansen, Little Chute; Lori (Rory) Noonan, Madison; and Nancy (Alex) Schneider, Oshkosh; grandchildren: Charles, Chad, Ryan, Jordan Hietpas; Nick, Mike (Kimberly), David, Brad (Rachael) Hietpas; Jennifer (Nick) Heiting, Melissa (Kyle) Williams, Stephanie and Allison (special friend Tony Evers) Jansen; Abbey (Ben) Kuik, Nicki (Matt) Haushalter, Sam (fiance Rick Wolfe) and Anna Noonan; Amanda Crupi and Jacob Schneider; great grandchildren: Lianna, Viktor, Leyla, Avalee, Zackary, Autumn and one to arrive in November; brother and sister: Raymond (Betty) Sanders and Noreen Vaubel; and sisters-in-law: Mary Ellen Sanders and Shirley (Don) Newhouse. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary Catherine was preceded in death by her son-in-law Jerry Crupi; brothers Donald and Tom Sanders; father and mother-in-law: Ted and Margaret Hietpas; and brother-in-law Clarence Hietpas.

Visitation will be held Tuesday July 3, 2012 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery.
